Olufunlayo Olaitan April 7 1935 – September 12 2009.
With gratitude to God for a life that touched so many, the family of late Venerable & Prof S.A. Olaitan announce the passing to glory of our Mother and Grandmother, Mrs Olufunlayo Olaitan on Sat Sept 12 2009. Mrs O. Olaitan was the proprietress of The Fountain School which has for almost 40years turned out leading lights across Nigeria and beyond, and more recently the Fountain Heights Secondary School. A veteran educationist, a Mother to many and the Matriarch of the Banwo family, Funlayo Olaitan would be remembered for her contributions to education and philanthropy and for her gracious and loving ways.
She was a faithful daughter of the Almighty, loving and gracious wife of Samuel Adedapo Olaitan, wonderful and devoted mother of Adebimpe and Gbemiga; Adeola; Adekunle and OlaOlu; Adedoyin and Odunlami; Muyiwa. Affectionate and dotting Grandma to EwaOluwa, Akitoye, Ooretoluse, Temilade, Moradeyo, Faramade, Adeife, Moyosore, Olajiire and Oluwapelumi. She was a peaceful, strong, humble, sincere, steadfast and lovely woman with a pure heart who always had a kind word, a beautiful smile and a composed demure to sooth, encourage and strengthen. She will be missed oh so much!
